Usually the first thing people think of when they imagine a wedding in Mallorca is a white sandy beach, crystal blue sea backdrop and white minimalistic decorations, and why not? It’s gorgeous! However, that is certainly not all Mallorca has to offer as far as wedding venues go, and sometimes its best to surprise your guests with something a little more special and original.
Nestled in the heart of a wine growing district is this charming hamlet that dates back to the time of the Moors. Idyllic and exclusive, this was the perfect stage for our inspiration shoot that allowed us to incorporate a preserved piece of ´original Mallorca´, with its picturesque landscape, botanical gardens, rustic fountains and majestic courtyards, which we used to contrast with our modern floral arrangements, bright bold pink bouquets, modern table settings and a young fresh faced bride in her stunningly chic and trendy wedding dress.
So, let’s take a closer look at this table settings contemporary, yet totally elegant and graceful design concept and color scheme. The thing that immediately catches the eye is the bold and dramatic floral arrangements that punch out at you with their deep fuchsias, vibrant cerise and hot pink colours, showing off their lush and blooming petals. Then on second glance you notice the neutral delicate florals that sit subtly against the pinks, adding so well to the bouquets depth. Topping this off is the use of wiry and stringy wild flowers that brings you back to the rustic setting and how Mallorcas thriving wildlife has so much diversity to offer. Tip toeing their way down the table top are ornamental, long, thin, pale pink candles. They are adding height and light to this textured table and give off that romantic touch effortlessly. The white table, white crockery and beige napkin take a backseat and allow the florals to really be the focal point of the table. However sneaking into the spotlight casually are the little flashes of gold that sparkle over everything, giving a cheeky nod to a more luxurious scene. We also have the arch topped menu that is perched so delicately on every plate, complimented with a single bold and bustling flower to tie in the colour scheme perfectly. What a cool touch.
On to the couple. Well, just look at this beauty’s dress. The sleeveless and strapless dress screams warm summer Mallorcan wedding, while looking further down we see the netted and lace skirt giving that airy boho vibe. Understated glamour meets stylish Bohemia, a fabulous combination against the grooms trendy royal blue suit.
All and all, this would be a wedding to remember, giving the guests a taste of real Spanish culture and well as very up to date style decor. Modern meets classic in such a divine way.
